ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs.LaMoyne Manclow, 94, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with family at her side. She was born on November 15, 1915 in Ephratah, daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (VanWormer) Gray. On November 30,1940 she was united in marriage with Deward (Pete) Manclow at the St. John?s Reformed Church in St. Johnsville. Their union lasted for almost 45 years until his passing in 1985. She worked as a knitter at Helmont Mills for many years retiring in 1967. LaMoyne taught Sunday School at St. John?s Reformed Church. She was very active in the community as a member of The Eastern Star, Rebekahs, King?s Daughters and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also on the Election Board. She was an excellent seamstress who loved to sew and make quilts. Survivors include her two daughters Gail Carter and her husband Jan of St. Johnsville and Carol Blowers and her husband Richard of Johnstown; her four grandchildren: Kevin Carter of Cooperstown, Jacqueline Carter and her fiance´ Marc Angell of Playa del Rey, CA, Darin Blowers and his wife Julie of Fonda, Kelly Blowers and her fiance´ Ed Epting of Scotia; her two great grandchildren Seth and Haylee Blowers, several nieces and nephews and her extended grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Aaron and Warren Gray, her sister Ruth Dillon and a very special niece, Cheryl Yost. A special appreciation for the loving care provided by the staff of the B Wing at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and her dear friends Robert & Myrna Douglas. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 5-7pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville,NY. A religious service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7pm Wednesday with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in LaMoyne?s name to the St. Johnsville Fire Department or to the H.C. Smith Benefit Club. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
