Kim Metzler, age 70, of Fort Plain, NY peacefully passed on September 9, 2025, at the Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on September 7, 1955, in Troy, NY to Hariet and Matthew Metzler. Kim grew up in East Nassau. He went to high school in New Lebanon and attended college in Cobleskill. He wore many hats and worked as a nurse, bartender and store manager throughout his working life.
Kim loved his animals, gardening and cooking. His days would be filled by tending to his goats, working in his bountiful gardens and creating delicious meals from scratch. Kim was a master at creating the most amazing meals over the wood stove. He will be remembered for his humor, his culinary skills and his love of his animals and plants.
Kim is survived by his partner Michael Falconio who shared his love of animals and gardens. His two children, Jessica Sinclair of Bronx, NY and Jason Metzler, Ocala, FL. As well as two grandchildren Emily Metzler and Autumn Sinclair. He is also survived by his father Matthew Metzler, sister Diane Arduini, and brothers Blake and Kirk Metzler. He was preceded in death by his mother Harriet Metzler.
