Kevin P. Cumm

LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Kevin P. Cumm, age 70, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, April 27th, 2025, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, New York.

He was born on August 30th, 1954, in Little Falls, son of the late Raymond and Shirley (Eckard) Cumm and he received his education in Little Falls schools. He graduated ‘Class of 1973.’ He worked for NYS DOT, retiring as a supervisor after 30 years of service.

He was employed with the City of Little Falls for many years as well. He was a 50-year Call Fireman, and that was his life passion. He also served special assignments with the Police Department.

Kevin was a Barbecuing Specialist and loved being outdoors. He loved attending hunting camps as well as golfing and fishing.

Survivors include brothers, Allen Cumm and wife Kathy of Colorado Springs, CO, John Cumm and Theresa Palumbo of Oppenheim, Jeffrey Cumm and wife Marie of Dolgeville, Brian Cumm and wife Tammie of Little Falls and Lisa LaCoppola and husband Stephen of Dolgeville, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends in Little Falls.

Funeral services will be offered on Wednesday May 7th, 2025, at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish Church, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Brian Slezak, Pastor. Fire Department honors will be recognized. The Funeral Cortege will thence lead to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where he will be laid to rest, with his parents. There are no calling hours.
