Katy Lesniak

UTICA-Katy Jane Lesniak, 21 of George Place, Utica, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Friday, September 4, 2009. She was born in San Bernardino, California on April 10, 1988, daughter of the late Glenn Shaw and Kathryn (Smith) Shaw. Her mother, Kathryn, passed away on May 6, 2000. Katy was last employed with APAC, Utica. Survivors inlcude her cherished son, Cole Dowling of Ilion and his father Dan Dowling also of Ilion; two loving sisters: Hilary Lesniak and Heather Lesniak both of Ilion; two adored nieces: Hannah and Mia Adorino; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparent: Betty Jane Cogar and Frank Smith. A generous and caring young lady, Katy assisted those in need and always offered a helping hand; her kindness was a sign of her good-hearted nature. She was a beautiful woman as evident by her many modeling photo shoots. She welcomed into this world and accepted with love, pride and dedication her son, Cole and cherished the times she spent with him. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Frankfort and Ilion, 894-8000 from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 and invited to her funeral service commencing at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, also on Thursday. Burial services will be private.
