Mrs. Justine Polivka, 101, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing center, where she had been a resident since 2010.
She was born in Slovenia and raised in Forest City, Pa. She married John Polivka on June 2, 1945. They lived most of their married life in their home on Rt29 until his passing on April 26, 1995. She was also predeceased by an infant daughter, Janet Ann, in 1949, and a sister Rose Jenko, in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat and her husband Don VanDerwerker of Palatine Bridge. Several Nieces and nephews also survive, along with some special friends.
At her request, there will be no services. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Her daughter and husband extend a Special Thank you to the staff at Alpine who saw to her care and comfort these many years.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home Dolgeville.
