Ilion: Julianne E. Palmer, 84, of George St. and formerly of Elm St., Ilion, passed away peacefully, November 23, 2012 in Mohawk Valley Healthcare Center, Ilion, where she had been a brief resident.
She was born on August 2, 1928, in Ilion, the daughter of the late Burton and Agnes McKeon. Julianne attended Annunciation School until eighth grade and then graduated from Ilion High School. On April 8, 1961, she married Michael H. Palmer in Ilion. Mr. and Mrs. Palmer were lifelong residents of Ilion. Mr. Palmer passed away April 5, 1994.
Julianne was a communicant of the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion for many years and was a member of the Ilion Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was an avid baseball fan with her favorite team being the Yankees.
She is survived by her son, Daniel J. Palmer and his companion, Julieann Allen of Ilion. Julianne was predeceased by her brother Burton "Bert" McKeon.
Julianne's funeral service will be held, 10 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Church of the Annunciation, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Leo Potvin, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will follow in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Julianne's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, Town of Frankfort.
