John J. "Yash" Wolinski

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Mr. John J. Wolinski, 93, of Whitesboro, NY and formerly of St. Johnsville, passed away on March 1, 2016.

John was born on November 25, 1922, a son of the late John and Catherine (Krisa) Wolinski of St. Johnsville, NY. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the St. Johnsville American Legion Morris J. Edwards Post #168, and a member of the Masons. Survivors include his loving significant other Virginia (Jean) Selbach of Whitesboro, NY of 37 years. His niece and nephew, Kathleen and Gary Kane, his great nephew and niece, Christopher Grant and his wife Connie, his great niece, Stephanie Kane and special person Sean Cruz and his great – great nephews and special prides of joy, Benjamin, Nicholas and Zachary all of St. Johnsville.

Funeral services will be private with services convenient to the family and spring interment at St. Johnsville Cemetery with full military honors.
