Mr. John S. Victor 66 of 624 Mang Road (Town of Salisbury), Salisbury Center, died Tuesday December 1st, 2015 at Bassett Hospital Cooperstown of natural causes. At the time of his passing he was comforted with the love and support of his wife and family.
John was born on October 28, 1949 in Herkimer, the son of John E. and Marion (Grimshaw) Victor and attended West Canada Valley School.
His marriage to Virginia Lee Balderston took place on July 10, 1971 in St. Joseph’s Church Dolgeville, NY.
John was employed by area companies throughout his working career, but will be remembered most by working at the Dolgeville Producers Co-Op from 1984-94, when they closed. He then went to work for Hale Manufacturing in Herkimer retiring from there due to his health.
He is survived by his wife Virginia of 44 years, a Son Matthew and his daughter Helen of Salisbury Center, a Brother James (Debbie) Victor of Little Falls, his Sisters Louise (Sam) Ostaz of Little Falls, Charline (Conrad) Carpenter and Barbara Herringshaw both of Dolgeville, Nieces and Nephews.He was predeceased by two sons John E. on May10, 1994 and Steve Alan on December 24, 2012.
In keeping with John’s wishes there are No calling hours or funeral services.
The family will receive friends on Saturday December 5th, 2015 from 1PM at the Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club to share remembrances of John.
