HERKIMER - John Paul Renaud, 88, of New Jersey, formerly of Herkimer, passed away on February 14, 2014, at VA Hospice Center, at Lyons, New Jersey, surrounded by his family.



He was born on March 14, 1925, in Herkimer, the son of Leo and Blanche (Bouchard) Renaud and graduated from Herkimer High School in 1943. Paul was a veteran serving in the US Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was employed at Sperry Rand Univac as an industrial engineer from 1945 to 1970. He then moved to Pennsylvania with Decision Data Computer Corp., retiring in 1991. Paul was a member of St. Francis De Sales Church, VFW 4915, Dads of VFW, Mohawk American Legion, Herkimer Knights of Columbus, Class of 43 Reunion Committee, and the Depression Boys.



Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Madelyn and Dominick DeLucia; his son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Kathy Renaud; his son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jane Marshall; his grandchildren, Joanne Bisconti and her husband, Tom, Tommy Renaud, Richard Marshall and Erica Beaver, John Paul Marshall and his wife, Kimberly; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.



He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-eight years, Violet (Hand) Renaud on December 11, 2013; and his daughter, Deborah Marshall.



A double burial of Violet and Paul Renaud will be held at Mohawk Cemetery later this spring at a date and time to be announced.
