John Loadwick

Mr. John Hudson Loadwick Jr. 64 of 79 South Main Street Dolgeville, died Tuesday September 6, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital of natural causes. John was born in Nelliston, on October 19, 1940 the son of John H. and Anna (Cochran) Loadwick and was a graduate of Ft. Plain High School, class of 1959. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served honorably from August 1959 until he was discharged in April 1980 with the rank of Master Sergeant. His military career took him to several air Force bases in the United States and he also served in Thailand, during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Expert Marksman Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Viet Nam Service Medal. His marriage to the former Genevieve Z. Metzler took place on June 27, 1970 in the First Universalist Church in Dolgeville. John was a member and former Treasure of the FT. Plain Post #32 VFW. He is survived by his wife Genevieve of 35 years, a Brother Paul C. Loadwick of Texas, Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a Sister Joanna Baldwin. Funeral services will be held Thursday September 15, 2005 at 2PM in the Ft. Plain Cemetery, Ft. Plain, New York. Pastor Martin Smith of the Lighthouse Baptist Church will officiate. The Memorial Squad of the Mohawk Valley Post #32 will present Military Honors. There are NO Calling Hours. Funeral arrangements and guidance are by the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
