John T. Harrington, Sr., 67, of Ward Street, Little Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2004, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer. He was born May 23, 1936, in Saratoga Springs, the son of Henry and Edith (Gardner) Harrington. John was educated in Mohawk schools and lived in the Little Falls area for over 23 years. His marriage to Margaret Zeininger took place on June 23, 1956. Mr. Harrington was a Marine veteran, enlisting on December 14, 1953, and was honorably discharged on December 13, 1961, with the rank of private first class. At one time, John was employed at Empire Fiberglass in Little Falls. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margaret; five sons, John T. Harrington Jr. and friend, Gail Ackley, of Herkimer, Allen Harrington and wife, Lisha, of Mohawk, Richard Harrington and friend, Joanne Noonan, of Little Falls, Wayne Harrington and friend, Barbara Rounds, of Little Falls and Kenneth Harrington and wife, Roberta, of Little Falls; two daughters, Sheila Terzi and friend, Adam LaPone, of Little Falls and Kimberly Horning and husband, Robert Jr., of East Herkimer; a brother, Arthur Harrington and wife, Donna, of Palatine Bridge; a sister, Shirley Cook of Melrose; a half-brother, Charles Gardner of Florida; 19 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son, Dale Christopher Harrington; a grandson, Kenneth Harrington Jr.; two brothers, Charles and Fred; a sister, Dorothy; and a half-sister, Myra. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, at 6 p.m. from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14, from 4 p.m. until the time of the services.
