HERKIMER – John Wayne Baird, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2016. Born on July 21, 1946 John was a long time resident of Herkimer County.
John had an engaging personality and loved nothing more than interacting with his many friends around the area, at his home, his workplace – HARC’s Herkimer Industries, and the Herkimer DDOS office. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful people associated with John throughout the Herkimer community for their care to make John’s life productive and joyful.
He is survived by his sister Kathy (Baird) Dempsey and brother-in-law James Dempsey of Scotia, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Herkimer Area Resource Center, P.O. Box 271 in Herkimer, NY, 13350.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 30, 2016 at 3:30 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer, NY. Guests are invited to visit at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the services from 2 until 3:30 PM.
A graveside interment service will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the family plot in Rock City Falls Cemetery.
