Joan A. (Verri) Lasher

LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Joan A. (Verri) Lasher, 87, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2024, at Little Falls Hospital with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 24, 1937, in Little Falls, daughter of the late James and Lucy (Denitto) Verri and educated in Little Falls schools. She was united in marriage with Brant Leonard Lasher on February 24th, 1956.
She was of the Baptist faith with great love for the Lord and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Dolgeville for several decades. She loved to sing hymns and share the gospel with anyone she met.
She worked with her husband at Lasher's Used Cars for several years.
In her spare time, she loved writing poems and also enjoyed playing scrabble with her twin sister, Jean.
She is survived by her beloved family: Dawn Shaut (husband Tim), Donald Lasher (wife Drusilla), and Denise Gregorka (husband Craig) along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, & nephews. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Coran Lee Hart and a brother-in-law, Nick Lasher.
She was predeceased by her son, Leonard Dennis Lasher and her husband, Brant Leonard Lasher, her twin sister, Jean Lonis & stepbrothers, Fiorello Verri, Gino Verri, Tony Verri and stepsister, Agatha Pietropaoli and brothers and sisters – in – law.
There will be no calling hours; The family will have a private ceremony in the spring at St. Johnsville Cemetery.

When it comes to God’s word
Tis the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard
It will always encourage me
Loving my Savior is also free
I know God’s looking down from above
Every day I can feel his love
What would I do if I didn’t have Him
To guide me when life seems so dim
I wish all people loved Him too
His hand is out waiting for you.
