FRANKFORT-Mrs. Joan A. (Drinkwine) Conley, of Comstock Ave., Frankfort passed away on Friday evening, October 1, 2010 in St. Elizabeth?s Medical Center, Utica.
Joan was born on September 6, 1944 in Troy, daughter of the late Jonathan and Frances (LaPorte) Drinkwine and educated in Troy schools. She has resided in the Frankfort area for the past 25 years. She was united in marriage with Ronald Conley on February 23, 1985 in Unadilla Forks. Mr. Conley passed away on December 18, 2004 after a blessed union of 19 years. Joan was last employed with General Electric, Utica and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her beloved family; her children: Ronald D. Conley of Frankfort, and Sylvia Jacopelle of Utica; her step children: Terry Ann Coy of Cedarville, Kathy A. Hooks and husband Jim of Utica, Thomas H. Conley and wife Patti of Deerfield; two in laws: Arlene Conley of Herkimer and Howard D. Conley of Mohawk; four step grandchildren: Christian Coy, Cody and Katie Conley and Ethan Hooks; many nieces, nephews and cousins and good friends, Roberta Roberts of Utica, Chad Rolchigo and family of Frankfort, and Terry and Fran Roberts of Bridgewater. Joan was preceded in death by her step-son, David R. Conley on February 19, 2010.
In keeping with Joan?s wishes funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family in Cedarville Cemetery. Kindly consider memorial offerings in her name to St. Jude?s Children?s Hosptial; envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are being handled through the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Frankfort and Ilion, 894-8000-Daniel J. Enea, funeral director.
