Mrs. Joan B. Carpineti, age 71, of Little Falls, beloved wife of Edward Carpineti, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family,on Friday evening, July 11, 2003 in Little Falls after a lengthy illness. Joan was born on December 9, 1931 in Malone, NY, a daughter of the late Ernest and Marie (LeClair) Hatfield. She graduated with the Little Falls High School Class of 1950. On October 12, 1952 Joan married Edward Carpineti in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. Their union of almost 51 years was characterized by their mutual love and devotion. Joan and Ed were truly a dedicated and loving couple, enjoying each moment they spent together. She was last employed by the former Allegro Shoe Company and was at one time employed by Gregorka's Fast Photo, Little Falls. Joan was a former member of the Little Falls Lady Elks and was active with the PTA. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish. A loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother, Joan was an exemplary family woman. Her family was the focus of her existence, by far the most important priority and the greatest joys in her life. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Pamela Dziedzic and husband Robert of New York Mills, a son, David Carpineti and wife Catherine of Little Falls, a daughter, a sister, Marjorie Reno of Little Falls, a sister in-law Blanche Hattfield of Malone, NY, five cherished grandchildren, Peter and Rebecca Dziedzic and Billy, Kait and Nora Carpineti, four great grandchildren, Lindsay, Jania, Minnie and Octavia, numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins and a sister-in-law, Lee Carpineti of VA. She was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest, Bert and George Hatfield. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Monday, (today) July 14, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. Joan's funeral will commence on Tuesday, July 15, at 10:15 am from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ thence to Holy Family Parish, corner of East Main and John Streets, Little Falls, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles R. Celeste, pastor at 11 am. Funeral procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where Joan will be laid to rest. Please omit floral offerings.
