Jerry Bishop

Mr. Jerry W. Bishop, age 67 of 7 Catherine St., Little Falls entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, April 29, 2003 in Faxton Hospital, Utica after an extended illness. Born on May 3, 1935 in Anniston Alabama, he was the son of the late Carl and Christine Bishop and was educated in Anniston area schools. He proudly served our country with the United States Army and retired as master sergeant on November 30, 1976. He was of the Protestant Faith. Mr. Bishop was an extraordinary singer and guitar player and played in a band in his younger years. He embraced his companions family as if they were his own. His loving and giving ways were a fine example of the gentleman he truly was. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed hunting for diamonds. He leaves his beloved friend and companion, RaeAnn Grande and her family who reside in Little Falls, seven children in Alabama, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Bishop. Mr. Bishop's funeral service will be held in Jacksonville, Alabama. The family is being served locally by the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls (823-2424).
