Jeremy James Hoage

ILION - Jeremy James Hoage, age 47, born March 15th, 1978, to Lewis D. Hoage Jr and Ellen Moss Hoage, passed away peacefully in his home on February 26th, 2026, after a long strong battle with cancer, in the town of Litchfield New York.

Jeremy attended Ilion Junior Senior High and went on to pursue his lifelong passion as a cook in many establishments throughout the Mohawk Valley lastly working in the kitchen of the former Donna's Diner in East Herkimer. He Married his Wife Melissa Wentworth on April 6th, 2002, and had 2 beautiful children that they raised together Zachary D. Hoage and Lillian G. Hoage. He was an amazing father who loved his family. In addition to his own children, he held a special place in his heart for his "adopted" son Daryan Stockigt Sr. and daughter in law Faith Stockigt. His biggest pride in life was his children. He also adored his grand babies DJ and Doris. His home was constantly filled with his friends, and family who loved him dearly. He was known to show at cookouts and quickly get promoted to grill master because no one cooks like Hoagie. He loved to read, play Madden football, have in-depth discussions on various topics and listen to music, the thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with his children.

Jeremy is survived by his father Lewis Hoage Jr. and stepmother Sherry Newberry Hoage of Litchfield NY, wife Melissa Hoage of Bridgewater NY, son Zachary Hoage and daughter Lillian Hoage both of Litchfield NY, Son Daryan Stockigt Sr. his wife Faith Stockigt and their children Daryan Stockigt Jr. And Doris Stockigt of Bridgewater NY, sisters Carisa Hoage of Herkimer NY, Jacqueline Farrington and her husband Carl Sprouse, Rebecca Herrmann and her husband Jason, all of New Mexico, and his brother Mathew Evans and his wife Tara of Mohawk NY. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis and Virginia Hoage Sr., Phyllis Prentice, his mother Ellen Moss Hoage, his Uncle Peter Stockigt, Uncle Pat Dickenson, and cousin, Chris Stockigt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at 2:00 PM at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road in Ilion, New York, at which time a prayer service will be held based on Episcopal faith. Then, we are having gathering at Ilion/Frankfort VFW across from the funeral home to follow.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a calling hour at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM and attend the services and gathering that follow.
