Jennifer L. Hapeman, age 49, passed away on August 30, 2023 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY with her family by her side.
She was born on October 9, 1973, the daughter of Susan Terns and David Oram. She was a graduate of Mohawk Central Schools. She had been employed at various stores in the Mohawk Valley before relocating to Norwich. She was currently employed by Mirabito, a job she loved.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Susan Terns Oram of East Herkimer; her father, David (Beverly) Oram of Nashville, TN; her children, Andrew Hennings of Herkimer (and his father, John Hennings); Chelsea Hapeman (Mike Zimmerman) and granddaughter, Gracelynn Zimmerman, who was the love of her life, of Oneonta; Victoria Hapeman of Norwich; and Stephen Hapeman and Nicki Conigliaro and family. She also leaves her sister, Bridget Oram Williams (Alex Bowers) of Oppenheim; her brothers, Christopher and Brandon Oram of Nashville, TN; her companion and caregiver, Matt Langille of Oxford and his family that she thought of as her own; Candace (Hector) Fernandez and family, Dylan and Cheyanne.
She has her “family” friends at Mirabito. She “adopted” many children along the way – too many to mention, but know that she loved you all.
There will be no funeral services at this time, however there will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
A special thank you is extended to the nursing staff on the 2nd Floor at Chenango Memorial Hospital for the excellent care of Jennifer and family during her stay.
