Jeffrey C. Bernier

HERKIMER – Mr. Jeffrey C. Bernier, age 55, of Clinton, New York, went home to be with the Lord and his parents on Saturday March 8th, 2025, after a long illness at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York.
Jeff was born on November 2nd, 1969, to the late Claude and Barbara Eileen (Hutton) Bernier in Herkimer, New York. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School and dedicated his working career as a first responder, namely at Kunkel Ambulance, MOVAC, and the Mohawk Fire Department.
He is survived by his children Sarah and son-in-law Matthew Karp of Albany, New York, Kiley Bernier and son-in-law Michael Gonzalez of Utica, New York, and Jordyn and Cameron Bernier of Clinton, New York. He is also survived by his precious grandson Kayden who was his pride and joy, and the mother of his children, Shannon Bernier, who cared very deeply for him. Jeff also leaves behind his sisters Colleen Bible and Sandy Bernier and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was an amazing man who had a big heart, and he fought hard through all of the unfortunate events he faced in his life for 25 years. He will truly be missed by all who loved and cared for him, especially his children and grandson.
