Jeanne Paschke

FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER - Jeanne Paschke, 89, formerly of State Rt. 5, Frankfort (Town of Schuyler), passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born on June 20, 1919, in Herkimer, the daughter of Stanley and Katherine Kanarek, and attended Herkimer Schools. On December 23, 1939, Jeanne was married to Fred C. Paschke in Hartford, CT. He died on January 22, 2000. She and her husband owned and operated Fred's Salvage for over 20 years. Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son, Fred S. Paschke and his fiancee, Barbara Fredel, of Frankfort (Schuyler); two granddaughters, Penny Van Dusen and her husband, John, of Frankfort, and April Paschke, of New Hartford; her sister, Nancy Fleming, of Alaska; her brother, Henry Kanarek, of Buffalo; her sister-in-law, Helena Paschke, of Ilion; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her former daughter-in-law and friend, Gladys. She was predeceased by her sister, Ethel Kanarek, and her brothers, Raymond and Walter Kanarek. Funeral services will be held 6:30 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with Pastor Jack Cogar officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer. Calling hours are Friday, December 12, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
