Mrs. Jeanne Marie Parisella 83 of 53 South Main Street -Parkside Court, Dolgeville, New York, died Wednesday January 4, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica after a very brief illness.
Mrs. Parisella was born on April 23, 1928 in Brookline, Mass., the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Gagnon) Dion and attend school in Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Brooklyn High School.
Her marriage to Joseph Parisella took place on February 23, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Parisella predeceased her on September 25, 2002.
Jeanne was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dolgeville and her personal interests were in knitting, sewing and embroidery. She made hats, mittens and other unique items with yarn and bottle caps. She was also a collector of western movies, especially John Wayne films.
She is survived by her sons and their wives- Joseph and Linda Parisella of Dolgeville, Peter and Nancy Parisella of North Hunting, Pittsburg and Anthony and Iris Parisella of Dolgeville, a Brother Robert Gagnon of Port Richey, Fl., her grandchildren Ronald, Laura and Anthony, a Niece and two nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be offered in the Spring of 2012 at St. Josephs' Church Dolgeville, with the Pastor Rev. William Gorman as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery. There are NO Calling Hours.
Memorials may be sent to the Herkimer County Humane Society or the Disabled Veterans Association of America in her memory.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, NY.
