SCHUYLER – Jean F. Desrochers, 92, from Schuyler, died August 18, 2023, at the Masonic Care Community.
She was born on September 15, 1930, in Lisbon, New Hampshire, daughter to the late Sumner and Marjorie (Thorpe) Moulton. She married Dean Desrochers, in Lisbon, on June 24, 1950 and he predeceased her.
She is survived by her daughter, Ardith Poccia and her husband, Tim, of Utica; and her son, Douglas and his wife, Carol, of New Hartford. Grandchildren that survive are Deena Robinson and her husband, Robert, of Schuyler, Jared Tripoli and his wife, Candace, of Westmoreland, Devon Kraszewski, of Herkimer and Jalene Kraszewski and her husband, Dan Ratcliffe, of West Winfield; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Tripoli and Braelynne Synrod.
Jean was a member of the East Schuyler Community Club, West Schuyler United Methodist Church, the U.M.W., of West Schuyler and Homemakers and Senior Citizens, of Schuyler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered in her memory to the West Schuyler United Methodist Church, 297 Wood Ln, Utica, NY 13502 and would be greatly appreciated.
There are no calling hours and a small Funeral Home Service will be held privately.
Jean’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
