Jay Gilbert Waufle

LITTLE FALLS- Mr. Jay G. Waufle, age 73, of Little Falls, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 13th, 2025, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York.

Jay was born on September 26th, 1951, in Little Falls, New York and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1971. He then went on to marry Cynthia M. Pett on April 27th, 1974, they shared 29 years together.

Jay began his career working for National Auto and then went on to work at Burrows Paper Mill for 21 years, retiring at the age of 45.

Jay loved to spend time with his family, his favorite thing to do was watch wrestling on Monday nights with them. He also enjoyed building model cars and collecting eagles.

Jay is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Lynn Dawley, Melissa Ann Waufle Congdon and his son in law Kevin Congdon. As well as his cherished grandchildren, Tylor, Kaylyn (Kyle), Chandler (Madison) and Nathaniel and his great grandchildren, Jaydon, Areannah, Cole, Jordyn and Reid. He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth Waufle, Elizabeth Waufle, Charlotte Root, Hannah Ackler, Bernard Waufle, Edward Waufle, Dennis Waufle and Albert Waufle as well as many half siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Waufle Sr. & Pauline (Goutremont) Waufle as well as his brother Gary and his beloved cat Kara.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, New York on Thursday May 1st, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Jays funeral will follow visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. His interment will take place following the funeral service at Church Street Cemetery in Little Falls.
