PALATINE BRIDGE – Miss Janet M. Lamphere of 102 Lafayette Street in Palatine Bridge, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 20, 2016 at St. Johnsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 14, 1937 in Stone Arabia, a daughter to the late Morris and Helen (LaLone) Lamphere and was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1955. From the time she left high school, she worked for Central National Bank in the Loan Department (now NBT) until her retirement. Janet sold the product Avon for many years, and enjoyed playing cards as well. She was an active member of the Fort Plain Reformed Church.
She is survived by her brother Donald Lamphere of Palatine Bridge, and many beloved family members inclusive to 17 nieces and nephews, and many great and great – great nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Morris Lamphere and a sister, Grace Sanders.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2016 at 6:00 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY with the Reverend Nancy Ryan officiating. Spring interment will take place at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service from 3 until 6 PM.
