Jane Laws

Jane J. Laws, of 105 Protection Ave., passed away on her 77th birthday, March 29, 2006, in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1929 in Cooperstown, NY, the daughter of the late Hyde and Mildred (Judd) Gruby and was educated in Cooperstown schools. She was last employed as a telephone operator in Maryland. Survivors include three children: Jon Laws of Pennsylvania, Sandra Smith and Brian Thomas of Herkimer, and Joan Crim and husband Donald of Herkimer; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service commencing at 11 am on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, with the Rev. Art Miner, chaplain of Folts Homes, Herkimer, officaiting. There will be an hour of visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
