Mr. James P. "Jim" Moran, age 50, passed away on Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, in Utica.
Born on June 20, 1966, James is the son of Barbara (Conley) Montana and the late William Moran. He was raised and educated in New Hartford and Alder Creek and attended local schools.
Upon completion of his schooling, Jim joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. He spent the majority of his career as a bridge painter with various contractors throughout the United States. As a natural thrill-seeker, he enjoyed being at great heights and loved his work.
Jim is survived by his mother, Barbara Montana of Ilion; his daughter, Sabrina Moran of Buffalo; his sisters and brother-in-law, Laura and Tom Kirk of NC and Barbara Moran of NJ; his brother, William Moran of Ilion; his nephews, Lincoln Franchell and William Franchell; as well as two great-nephews and a great-niece.
He was predeceased by his father, and his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Helen Conley.
A graveside service will be held at a date and time to be announced in the Spring of 2017.
