FORT PLAIN - Mr. James S. Dahlin, age 48, of Fort Plain, NY, passed away suddenly on Saturday June 6, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY.
He was born June 11, 1966 in Ballston Spa, NY, the son of John Dahlin and the late Beverly (Moore) Dahlin. Jim was a full - time dairy farmer with the Dahlin Family Farm in Fort Plain. He just loved his herd and many memorable times spent with friends bowling.
Survivors include his father John, his beloved daughters Allyson and Emily Dahlin, his sister Kathleen Dahlin - Scott and her husband Harold, nieces and nephews including Patrick, Brian, Andrew, and Haley, and aunts and uncles including Noella Morris, Mike Dahlin and his wife, Ann, Mitzie France and her husband, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Beverly on March 19, 2005.
His family has planned all arrangements with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea, (518) 568-2300.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2015 from 3 until 6 PM. A prayer service will conclude the calling hours in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 PM., with Linda Faduski, Pastoral Associate of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Community Church, Fort Plain, officiating. Immediately following the service at the funeral home the family invites family and friends to gather at the farm.
