ILION - Jacqueline Leigh Morehouse (47 years old) of Ilion, New York, passed away peacefully at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York, on April 27th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jackie was born on November 7th, 1977, in Watertown, New York to Dale and Patricia (Perry) Janes.
She happily joined in marriage on November 24th, 2018, with the love of her life Jon Morehouse who remained fighting right by her side until she was reunited with her beloved mother.
Jacqueline is survived by so much loving family; her husband Jon Morehouse, her children Alyssa (Tyler) Martin, Hunter Smith (Izzy S.), Landon Morehouse, Alice Morehouse, her father Dale Janes, sister Amanda (Colby) Mergenthaler, brother Benjamin Janes, her niece Ari Janes, nephews Dante Mergenthaler, Jacob Mergenthaler, and Trey Guyer, Aunt Marileigh (John) Filipczuk, Aunt Linda (Joe) Brewer, and her amazing granddaughter Lillian Martin. Survived also by many friends but a couple very special best friends; Tanika Criner and Becky (Dan) Davis along with so many loved cousins, family, colleagues, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Janes as well as her Mother-in-Law Jacquie Bowman, Father-in-Law Larry M. Morehouse, her maternal and paternal grandparents, her aunts Cyndi Perry and Marcia Crosset, and her uncle David Perry.
Jackie loved being outside and cows, her fur-babies Lennie, Titus, Moomer, and Udder-Chaos, and cherished her family above all else in life! Throughout her life she had many jobs she enjoyed but had finally found a job she truly loved as part of the CVA family and her role in their school cafeteria. This blessing allowed her to spend more time with her children and make great friends in her workplace.
She loved so hard that it will live on through her family and all who knew and adored her. Our hearts are broken, and our world isn't as bright as she was taken from us far too early.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia, & Applegate Funeral Directors and her calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, 10:00am -12:00pm at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road- Ilion, NY 13357.
