Jacqueline Coffin, 74, of E. North Street, Ilion, where she resided with Pat Allen, passed away, unexpectedly in Little Falls Hospital.



She was born January 9, 1937 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late, Jackson and Sara Lyons Shults and was a graduate of Little Falls High School. In 1958, Jacqueline was united in marriage to Norman J. Coffin in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mr. Coffin passed away.



Prior to becoming a home maker, Jacqueline was employed with the Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Company, Conn. She enjoyed attending church services at the Salvation Army, Herkimer and the Ilion Adult Day Care Program where she had many friends. Jacqueline loved making arts and crafts especially spring baskets and she always had a fun loving friendly personality which enabled her to make friends with everyone.



She is survived by her son; Timothy Coffin (a.k.a. Mike Fisher) of Oneida; her sister, Joanne Grinnell of Glens Falls; her step mother, Helen DiRidder of Dolgeville; her half brothers, Jackson Shults of Dolgeville and Gregory Shults of Gloversville; her brother-in -law and sister-in-law, Bill and Kathy Coffin of Ilion; several nieces and nephews. Jacqueline was predeceased by her daughter, Norene Coffin Roelesson in October of 2010 and her sister, Judith Moore in April 2002.



Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls from 5-7 PM, Thursday, March 22, 2012. Jacqueline's funeral will be 11PM, Friday March 23, from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be made in Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.eneafamily.com
