ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Howard E. Sanders, 75, formerly of E. Main St and resident of St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center passed away on November 28, 2011 at the Nursing Home.



He was born on August 12, 1936, in Fordsbush, son of the late Everett and Bessie (Getman) Sanders. He was a lifelong resident of St. Johnsville and owned and operated Sander's Farm.



Howard was a good man with a good heart who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.



Survivors include his brother :George Gottung and his wife Jean of Minden; his sisters Lois Simmons of Fort Plain and Dorcas Bowley of Palatine Bridge and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Thomas Sanders and Jerry Sanders and by his brother in laws: Maynard Simmons and Charles Hutchins.



The family will receive relatives and friends at Howard's memorial visitation from 4-6pm on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A religious service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at the funeral home with Rev. David A. Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in the spring of 2010 at Fort Plain Cemetery at the family's convenience.



The family would like to thank the staff of St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the love, care and support they gave to Howard during his extended stay there. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Howard's name be made to the Nursing Home. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
