ILION – Hope A. Darling, 48, of Ilion, passed away unexpectedly, July 6, 2023, in the Town of Ramapo, New York.
She was born on February 13, 1975, in Ilion, New York, the daughter of Kenneth L. Darling, Sr. and Jean (Kasperzyk) Darling. She was a CAN for many years and greatly enjoyed her work.
Hope is survived by her precious son, Kyree Walker, who was the motivation for her fighting for so long; her father, Kenneth Darling, Sr.; her brothers, Henry Wakefield (Kelly), Robert Wakefield, John Wakefield (Cathy), Kenneth Darling, Jr. (Alana); her sister and best friend, Tammy VanHorne (Robert); and her significant other, Anthony Walker; as well as four nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, one great-nephew and a host of close friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jean Darling; and a son, Anthony Darling.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion. A Graveside service will follow, at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Utica, New York.
Hope’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
