Hilda Noonan

Hilda Noonan, 93, formerly of Galinsky Apartments, Herkimer, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at Little Falls Hospital. She was born on Feb. 14, 1913, in Pine Plains, N.Y., the daughter of Loren and Catherine (Funk) Harris and attended Rhinebeck schools. On Aug. 22, 1940, she was married to Harold L. Noonan in Pine Plains, N.Y. He died in 1975. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nancy Noonan of Mohawk, Jeffrey and Gale Noonan of Glens Falls; two daughters, Dawn Barbieri of Glens Falls and Sally McCauley of Wingdale, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces including a special niece, Shirley Riley of Germantown, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Florence Harris of Albany. She was predeceased by her husband, six brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at the Graves-Applegate-Day Funeral Home, 48 E. Main St., Mohawk, with Pastor Rob Andres officiating. Burial will be in Rhinebeck Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the Graves-Applegate-Day Funeral Home, Mohawk.
