Helen Myhre

Helen Myhre, 87, of 521 Cline Rd., St. Johnsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Little Falls Hospital. She was born December 25, 1915, in Brooklyn. Helen was educated in Brooklyn schools and moved to the St. Johnsville area in 1984. For over 40 years, Helen worked for Domino Sugar House in Brooklyn where she held the position of floor lady. After her retirement she worked at John's Gift World in St. Johnsville. Mrs. Myhre was a member St. Patrick's Church in St. Johnsville. Survivors include her son, John Myhre of St. Johnsville; a daughter, Marie Merritt and husband Jerome of California; her grandchildren, Marie Merritt, Thomas Merritt and Jerry Merritt; and her great-grandchildren, Todd, Aubry, T.J. and Azurde Merritt. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. In keeping with Helen's wishes, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, at 9 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church. Interment at Brown Cemetery in Oppenheim will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville.
