Mrs. Helen J. (Darling) DeRidder, 94 of the Hopson Road (Town of Salisbury), entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2015 at Little Falls Hospital.



She was born in Brookfield, NY, the daughter of the late Rev. Marshall and Gertrude (Hoxsie) Darling. She was educated in schools throughout the New England states.



Helen was a homemaker and had been employed by the McLaughlin Department store in Dolgeville.



Family was very important to her and she enjoyed attending all of their activities. Her hobbies included decorating, painting, and sewing.



Survivors include her four children Norma and her husband Ronald Lincourt Sr. of Sarasota, Fl., Judith and her husband Renford Scheuerman of Gloversville, Jack Shults and his companion Alice Comstock of Dolgeville, Greg Shults of Gloversville, a Step daughter Joanne (Shults) Grinnell of Glens Falls, NY, her eight grandchildren Karla (Robert) Cagwin, Heather (Alan) Babiaz, Mark (Lorrie) Scheuerman, Ronald Lincourt Jr. , Lorraine (Mark) Gifford, Norma Scheuerman, Thomas Shults and his fiance´e Christine Burdick, and Douglas Shults, Nine Great Grandchildren, two great great grandsons, several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by two husbands, Jackson Shults and Cornelius DeRidder, also her brother, Birge Darling, her sisters, Hope Thompson, Mary Marshall, Ella Delaney, Rebekah Luther, Deborah Youker, Jean and Joan Darling, two step daughters, Jacqueline (Shults) Coffin and Judy Shults.



A PRIVATE graveside service at the Salisbury Rural Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Gertrude Ortlieb, officiating.

The family wishes to Thank Dr. Douglas Haas and Erica Congdon, Helen's personal caretaker for all their care and concern.



Her arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, NY.
