Hamilton: Mr. Harry J. Everson, Jr., 74, of Airport Road, Hamilton, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.



Mr. Everson was born on September 8, 1936, a son of the late Harry and Martha (Laymon) Everson, Sr. Harry was married to Gladys Silvernail, who passed away on January 1, 1996. He was employed as a driver for Harts Transportation of Herkimer. Prior to that employment, he worked in the farming industry and was also employed as a cab driver. Mr. Everson was a volunteer firefighter.



Harry is survived by four sons, George Moshier and his wife Dawn of Mohawk, Robert Moshier and his wife Kathy, of Herkimer, Harvey Everson and his wife Linda of Ilion, and Leon Everson and his fiance´ Donna of Mohawk; three daughters, Audrey Grower, and Dale Richer and her fiance´ Chuck, all of Mohawk, and Lillian Kent and her husband Mike of Hamilton; 19 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his wife, Gladys, and his parents, Harry Sr. and Martha, a brother George Everson and a son-in-law, Nial (Bammer) Grower, predeceased him.



Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer (315-866-1011). His funeral, conducted by Pastor Eugene Kipper, will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 10 am. Interment will be at a later date in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
