ST. JOHNSVILLE – Mrs. Harriet L. Barney, 75, of 11 Old Meadow Road, St. Johnsville, passed away on August 19, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on February 15, 1949 and was raised by her parents, Edward and Hazel Dingman. She was united in marriage to Barry W. Barney, on June 23, 1979, in Freysbush. She last worked at LaSalle Labs, Little Falls. For many years, she attended St. John’s Reformed Church and was a member of the South Minden Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Harriet loved being outside to enjoy the beautiful birds, the flowers and taking walks.
She is survived by her husband, Barry; her daughter, Hazel O’Connor; and her grandchildren, Kelly O’Connor and Christopher O’Connor.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 12 Noon, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, New York, with Rev. David A. Johnson, officiating. Interment will then take place at Fort Plain Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour, prior to the service on Monday, from 11:00 a.m., until 12 Noon and attend the service to follow.
