Harold L. Mosher

Mr. Harold L. Mosher, age 87, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 29, 2026.

Harold was born on July 23, 1939, in Stratford, NY, son of the late Herman and Vera (Hayes) Mosher. In 1963, Harold enlisted in the U.S Army, serving his country until 1966. He married his beloved wife Mary Frances Jaikin on September 17, 1966, Harold and Mary shared a union of 55 years before Mary's passing in 2022.

Harold worked at General Electric as a machinist for many years. Harold enjoyed camping, hiking, walking, fishing and any time spent outdoors. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his family was everything to him.

He is survived by his four children, Tina Edgar (Daryl Covey), Laura Wilcox (Timothy), Harold D. Mosher (Melissa), Nathan J. Mosher (Katrina); ten cherished grandchildren, twenty adored great-grandchildren; his sister, Vera Gilchrist, brothers-in-law; Peter Jaikin, Stanley Hayes and his sister-in-law, Eva Carpenter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, four siblings, his wife Mary F. Mosher, and one grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to Harold’s funeral service on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00am at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY 13452. Calling hours will take place from 9:30am until 11:00am, prior to the service. A funeral procession to Dibble Tuttle Cemetery will follow, where Harold will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife. Following the service at the cemetery, a celebration of his life will be held at the Stratford Town Hall. 120 Piseco Rd, Stratford, NY 13470.
