Ilion: Harold W. " Brad" Bradbury, Jr., 67, of Ilion, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Bassett Healthcare Center.
He was born on May 12, 1945, in Staten Island, the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Evans Bradbury, Sr. Brad was a graduate of Zavarian High School in Brooklyn.
Prior to retiring, Brad was employed with Central New York DSO in their Herkimer office for many years. He served as union president for the local CSEA chapter. During his free time, Brad enjoyed woodworking.
He was a loving spouse, beloved father, a wonderful grandfather "Pop-Pop", an amazing friend, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Nancy Blake; his children, Paul and Lisa Sexton of Clovis, CA, Joseph Blake and Melissa Wood of Herkimer, Frank and Gloria Sexton of Clovis, CA, Monica and Kevin Honaker of Mohawk, Anthony and Angie Collins of Millhall, PA, Robyn Bradbury and Jason Williams of Seattle, WA, Daniel Berry of Syracuse, Vanessa Berry and Rick Maine of Mohawk, Patricia Berry of Mohawk and Michael Berry of Utica and his fourteen grandchildren. Brad was predeceased by a grandson, Ladamian Jauqin.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, on Thursday, May 17, 2012, 4-6 PM. Brad's funeral will be held at 6 PM, Thursday from the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation.
