Grant Moore

Mr. Grant W. "G.W." Moore, 58, a longtime Mohawk Valley resident, passed away at his home on July 3, 2006. He was born on October 21, 1947, in Utica, son of the late Francis and Muriel (Rivers) Moore and graduated from Utica Free Academy. He has resided in the valley for the past thirty years. Grant proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and received numerous medals. His last employment was with Remington Arms, Ilion. Survivors include his son: Dennis Moore and wife Karen of Rome; his grandchildren: Kelsey and Dalton Moore of Rome and his special friend: Janice Ciaola. The family will gather privately to say goodbye at the Graves-Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 38 E. Main St., Mohawk with the Rev. Patricia Lawrence, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Herkimer, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica where full military honors will be accorded.
