LITTLE FALLS, NY - Mr. Glenn J. Bogardus, age 75, of Little Falls, New York, passed away suddenly, on Friday morning, September 6, 2019, at Foltsbrook Center, Herkimer, New York, where he received tender loving care.
He was born in Little Falls, on April 4, 1944, a son of the late George Bogardus and Pauline (Goutremont) Waufle and attended Little Falls Central Schools. He proudly served our country enlisting with the United States Army in 1964 and receiving an honorable discharge for his service. He fought in the Vietnam War and served special forces with the Green Beret. His last professional occupation was working contracting, namely with a roofing company and even building cell-phone towers. Glenn found his niche working with animals and particularly Rottweilers, which together with his late wife Joan he bred and raised. Glenn loved and took much pleasure in reading, fishing and listening to and singing along with
Survivors include his beloved family. Glenn (Danetta Yearry) leaves behind two daughters and sons-in-law, Lana (Christopher) Dormann and Lynn (Carlos) Mercado; and a step-daughter, Joann. He also had a son, Gregorie Bogardus, who passed away May 27, 2015. Along with his daughters, Glenn also leaves behind his siblings, Joan (Carl) Stafford, George Bogardus, Kenneth Waufle, Linda (Mertz) Bogardus, Elizabeth Waufle, Charlotte (John) Root, Hannah (the late Miles) Ackler, Bernard (Maria) Waufle, Edward Waufle, the late Gary Waufle, the late Richard Bogardus, William, Dennis, Jay Waufle and Albert Waufle.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the original Enea Family Funeral Home,
Glenn’s family has carefully chosen Funeral Director’s Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia to assist them during this very difficult and unexpected time.
