LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Giovanna “Jennie” Pescatore, age 98, of Little Falls, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at Foltsbrook Center, Herkimer, NY, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on February 15th, 1927, in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Guiseppi and Reparata (Ciero) De Luisi. She was united in marriage to the late Alfred Pescatore in 1948 at St. Joseph’s Church in Little Falls.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, keeping family traditions alive, and cooking, especially for Sunday dinners and holidays. She was known to many for being an excellent cook and a generous hostess if you sat at her table.
She is survived by her daughter Anna Smith, her daughter-in-law Michele Pescatore, her grandchildren, Vincent (Stephanie) Smith, Christopher Smith, Kathleen (Bobby) Pescatore-Bergen, and James (Kelci) Pescatore, her great-grandchildren, Allison Smith, Ellie Pescatore, Khloe Bergen, Henry Pescatore, and Sophie Pescatore.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Pescatore, and son, Vincent A. Pescatore.
A private ceremony will be held with close family members in attendance.
