Gilda Fiorentino LaVista, 79, a Rockledge resident since 1959, went home to Our Lord on February 23, 2013.
She was born on March 1, 1933, in Herkimer, Gilda was the tenth of eleven children born to the late Dominick and Lucia Fiorentino.
Gilda is survived by her children, Deborah Ryan and Dianna (Dee) Hermes of Rockledge, and Anthony LaVista of Houston, TX, her nine grandchildren; her sisters, Lena Sudakow and Adeline LaGess ; her brothers, Michael Fiorentino and Kelly Fiorentino, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her youngest son, David and her six siblings.
Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockledge, FL.
The family asks to kindly consider contributions, in Gilda's memory, to the St. Mary's Catholic School, 1152 Seminole Dr. , Rockledge, FL 32955, where Gilda volunteered many of her hours.
