ST. JOHNSVILLE – George R. Haines, 74, of Klock Road, St. Johnsville, NY, died on October 8, 2023, in Cooperstown, New York.
He was born on May 22, 1949, in Poughkeepsie, New York, a son of the late Roy and Vivian (Davis) Haines. At one time, he lived in Pleasant Valley, New York. He married Debra Olsin Haines and she died in July 2012. He has stepchildren, Eric and Billy Olsin. He owned Haines Trucking and enjoyed time spent with his companion, Tiny Shuster. He was a deacon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a councilman for the Town of St. Johnsville.
