George Edward Gay 56 of 32 Sullivan Street Dolgeville, died unexectedly Tuesday Setember 7, 2010, in the town of Schuyler, after suffering an aarent heart attack. George was returning from work at Moore's Tire Comany and suffered his attack while driving home.







He was born in Herkimer, New York on June 14, 1954 the son of the late George W. and Mildred (Evans) Gay and was a graduate of West Canada Valley Central School.







His marriage to the former Margie Lyon took lace on June 24, 1981 in Middleville.







George was the owner/oerator of George Gays' garage in Fairfield for several years closing it in 2003. He then went to work for his current emloyer Moore's Tire Comany of Utica. While oerating his own business he was state certified in tow trucking oeration and could insect various heavy equiment.







He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the West Canada Fish & Game Club and his love of the outdoors brought him enjoyment in fishing and hunting.







He is survived by his wife Margie of 29 years, his daughters Jessica Erin and her husband Roy Lyle of Fairfield, and Hannah at home, his brothers Donald Gay of Middleville, Ronald Gay of Newort, his sisters Liz Weakley of Utica, Cindy Agne and her fiance´ Rick Garbeara of Newort, Shirley and her husband Brian Jackson of Little Falls, several Nieces and Nehews, Brother and Sister in Laws. He was redeceased by a brother Robert Gould on January 14 of this year.







In keeing with his wishes their will be no calling hours or formal funeral services, cremation will take lace and the family will rivately gather to remember him.











His arrangements are with Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
