ILION – George A. Bennett, Jr., 67, of Ilion, passed away June 21, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, New York.
He was born September 23, 1955, in Herkimer, New York, a son of the late George A., Sr. and Arthella (Thompson) Bennett. He worked at Helmont Mills in St. Johnsville and volunteered at the Lighthouse in Ilion.
Surviving relatives are sons: Nick, George, III, Chris, Bernie and Alex; daughters-in-law: Tosh and Katrina; grandkids: MacKenzie, Kathleen, Deven, Sebastian, Lila, Connor, Nicholas, Dakota, Maddox, Bella, Jacob and Destinee; brothers: Lary, Dale, and Bill; sisters: Dar, Sue, Georgia, Kathy and Mary. He was a great guy loved by all.
The family will join together for a calling hour at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral arrangements for George have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
