ILION - Gail H. Reichinger, 60, of 40 Elm St., Ilion, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at home. She was born on April 24, 1947 in Hamilton, N.Y. Gail graduated from Albany High School and attended Herkimer County Community College. On April 15, 1967, she was married to Anton Reichinger in Richfield Springs, N.Y. Gail was employed in the clerical department at New York Telephone Company, Utica, for 35 years, retiring in 2002. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers and at one time was a union representative. Gail was a big animal lover, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and making people happy. Survivors include her husband, Anton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Reichinger of Lebanon, Pa., Scott and Crissy Reichinger of Ilion; one granddaughter, Heather Reichinger of Lincolnton, N.C.; one sister, Rayleen Crossway and one brother, Danny Storms of Hamilton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with the Rev. Victor McKusick, pastor of the Ilion Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, Ilion. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Special envelopes are available at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, Ilion.
