Freeda R. Millington, 91, a long time resident of River Road, passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2005 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born November 4, 1913 in the Town of Little Falls the daughter of the late Frank & Martha (Kraft) Gillen, and was educated in the Town of Little Falls country schools. She was married to William Millington who preceded her in death in February 1971. At one time Freeda worked at the former Allegro Shoe Company in Little Falls. Mrs. Millington was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Little Falls and was a member of the Eatonville Secret Pal Club and the Indian Castle Church Historical Society. Survivors include her son, Donald Millington and wife Mildred of Little Falls, two daughters, Beverly Bergen of Fort Plain & Jane Slaboc of Little Falls, a daughter-in-law, Anne Millington of Palatine Bridge, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a very special friend, Freda Barnes of St. Johnsville, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special neighbors. She was pre-deceased by a son, Leland Millington, a brother, John Gillen, a sister, Marguerite Comstock, and two sons-in-law, Robert Slaboc and Henry Bergen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 16, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY with Reverend David M. Krehbiel, officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday July 15, 2005 from 4-8 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to S.A.V.A.C or to the Indian Castle Church Historical Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
