Mr. Frank F. Fucci age 84, a lifelong resident of Utica, passed away on Thursday morning, November 4, 2004 at the Folts Homes in Herkimer. He was born on January 1, 1920 in Utica, a son of the late R. Alfonso and Maria Giovanna (Lucarelli) Fucci and was educated in Utica schools. He was a Graduate of T. R. Proctor High School in Utica. Frank served our country with the United States Army during World War II. He served throughout Central Europe, and his decorations included an Army of Occupation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and EAME Campaign medal and a World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged on July 1, 1946 with the 1257 Engineer Combat Battalion and upon relief from active duty held the rank of Technician Fourth Grade. Frank retired as owner and operator of Fucci Meat Market which was located on Bleecker Street in Utica. He had run his business for fifty years. He relocated to the Herkimer area in 1978. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his children: a son: Frank A. Fucci and his wife Sue of Spring Hill, Florida, a daughter: Jennifer Crandall and her husband Garre of Herkimer; a sister: Rachel Centola of Herkimer; grandchildren: Mark Fucci and his fiancee Colleen Haile of Baltimore, MD; Jessica Matthews of Houston, Texas; and Todd Crandall and his special friend Lisa Castellano of Herkimer; a great granddaughter: Hailey Marie Crandall and several nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister: Frances Campopiano. In respect of Frank's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. His family will gather privately on Saturday November 6, 2004 at their convenience at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Utica, with Rev. Mark Cunningham offering prayer. Entombment will take place in the family mausoleum. Military honors will be offered. In lieu of flowers, it is the wish of the family that donations in Frank's memory be considered to either the American Cancer Society or to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes may be obtained from the Enea Family Funeral Home. A very special thank you is offered to the staff of the 2nd Floor of the Folts Homes, Herkimer for the love and complassion offered. All of Frank's wishes were prearranged under the guidance of the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street Bewteen Frankfort & Ilion (894-8000).
