Francine Butler

MOHAWK-Francine ?Fran? L. Butler, age 37, of 57 Church St., Mohawk, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at home. She was born on Oct. 27, 1970, in Herkimer, the daughter of Francis ?Mike? J. Butler and Judi (Goering) Butler and graduated from Mohawk High School in 1988. Fran had been employed at several banks in the Central New York area over the years. She attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Mohawk where she received her First Communion and was confirmed. Survivors include her mother, Judi Butler of Mohawk; her son, Jimmy Riesel at home; two sisters, Cindy Jenkins of Herkimer, Christy Lauren and husband Ken of Texas; two brothers, Steven Carter and David Carter of Mohawk; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special family friend, Robert Smith. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Carter and her father, Francis ?Mike? Butler. A private family funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with Father Mark Cunningham officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. There was no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Francine L. Butler Memorial Fund, C/O Judi Butler, 19 E. Main St., Mohawk, N.Y. 13407.
