Frances C. Baggetta

Mrs. Frances C. Baggetta, age 97 of Herkimer, NY, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2026, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

Frances was born on February 20, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA to Ferdinando and Catherine Adolfo (Morabito). On April 5, 1948, Frances married her beloved husband Frank N. Baggetta at St. Anthony and Jospeh’s Church in Herkimer, the two shared a union of 56 loving years before Franks’ passing in 2004. Frances was a communicant of the St. Anthony and Josephs Church; she was strongly devoted to her faith, as well as her family.

Frances worked for the Herkimer County Highway Department for over twenty years, after retiring, she greatly enjoyed swimming, she also enjoyed completing puzzle books, cooking for her family, many card games, as well as trips to the casino with her family. Frances greatly enjoyed the thrill of casino games and her “scratchies.”

Frances was preceded in passing by her parents, three of her siblings, her husband, her beloved sons, Joseph Baggetta and Francis Baggetta and her dog Zoe.

She is survived by her loving family; her sister, Rosemarie Brown, her daughter-in-law, Aida Baggetta, her grandchildren; Patrick Baggetta, Angelo Baggetta, David Baggetta and his wife, Bazhena and Jacqueline Greene and her husband, Kristopher. Frances also leaves her great-grandchildren; James, Juliet, David Joseph and Damira as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Frances will be greatly missed by all of those who were blessed to call her family.

Frances' memorial mass will be held on September 4, 2026, at 11:00am at Sts. Anthony and Josephs Church, 228 S Main St, Herkimer, NY 13350. Following mass, she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer, NY 13350.
